Hamilton Conservation Authority issues flood watch

The Hamilton Conservative Authority has issued a flood watch along Lake Ontario this weekend.
Forecasters are calling for strong shore-bound winds Saturday and Sunday, with gusts of up to 65 kilometres an hour.
This increases the risk of shoreline erosion and localized flooding because of storm surge and waves.
Residents are being reminded to use caution near lakefront areas.
Currently, the water level in Lake Ontario sits at 74.6 m, which is average for this time of year.
The flood watch is in effect until Monday, at which time it will be either updated or cancelled.
