Hamilton Colombia partnership

The Pan Am games will be wrapping up at the end of the week, but a longer lasting partnership has formed because of the sporting event. Hamilton is where all the Pan Am soccer games are being played and the city is taking this opportunity to also focus on investment strategies.

At Mohawk College today, Mayor Fred Eisenberger joined the Trade Commissioner of Colombia, Alvaro Concha to announce that Hamilton will be partnering with the country of Colombia in order to create new international markets for local business. They’re calling the initiative “Bring I-T on with Hamilton Niagara”.

The goal is to increase the number of potential investors, as well as bi-lateral trade between Colombia and Hamilton and Niagara.
