Hamilton city budget approved

Hamilton council put the final touches on the city budget Tuesday night.

The result is a 0.9% increase in spending, down from the 1.4% council was looking at last week.

That will see the owner of a Hamilton home worth $258,000 paying an extra $31 in the city’s portion of tax bills this year.

That’s the second lowest increase since amalgamation.
