Hamilton business owners scammed in movie making deal

Some business owners on James Street South were excited to be part of a movie featuring actress Nicole Kidman…until they found out it was too good to be true.

The owners say a man claiming to be a location scout for Blockbuster Films promised cash and even renovations in return for using the buildings; but disappeared after a few strange meetings.
