Hamilton bus driver assaulted

An HSR driver was assaulted by a group of teenagers Friday night over a fair dispute.

The event happened as the bus was stopped to pick up passengers near Mohawk Road and Millbank Place on the west mountain.

According to reports, a punch was thrown inside the bus, before the driver was pulled from the bus and assaulted by the group of five boys.

A number of other passengers got off the bus to help the driver. The boys fled before police arrived.

The driver wasn’t seriously injured in the attack. Anyone with information is asked to contact Hamilton Police.
