Hamilton, Brantford area drivers may notice military vehicles on roads this weekend

The Canadian Army Reserve is giving drivers a heads up that they may notice some military vehicles on the roads this weekend.
Personnel from 31 Service Battalion will be conducting vehicle training in Hamilton, Brantford, Woodstock, London, and Windsor on Saturday.
Soldiers will be taking part in highway navigation and driver training on planned routes that include the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), Highway 401 and Highway 403.
“This important training is being conducted in order to maintain and further develop Canadian Army Reserve safety procedures, driving skills, and discipline while operating specific vehicle platforms,” said the Canadian Armed Forces in a public service announcement.
The notice said no dismounted drills are planned unless maintenance is required.
It says all measures are being taken to ensure “minimum inconvenience” to people traveling on the roadways.
Members of the public are asked to take extra caution when approaching military vehicles.
