Hamilton assault over drug money

Hamilton police responded to a suspected home invasion late Friday afternoon.

A man broke into a residence at 232 Victoria Avenue North and attacked a woman inside with a crowbar. A gun was also seen. The woman was rushed to Hamilton General with head injuries but has since been released. No one else was injured. Police said that the suspect was known to the victim and they know who they’re looking for. The incident revolved around a cash dispute over drugs.
