The Halton District School Board has delayed the start of virtual classes amid growing demand for online learning in Ontario.

The board says these classes will now begin on Wednesday as it works through a “significant” waitlist for virtual school.

Online classes at school boards in Toronto and Peel have also been pushed back because of demand.

Peel District School Board says 10,000 of the 64,000 students interested in online classes signed up in the last week.
