Halton police seize gun, drugs and $15K in stolen fragrances

Halton police have arrested four people following a break and enter at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Burlington.
Police say three people broke into the business at 4525 New St. around 4:30 a.m. on Monday.
The thieves took numerous fragrance bottles before fleeing the store.
Police launched an investigation and discovered the stolen items were being housed at a home in Mississauga.
“Officers also identified a fourth male associated to the residence, and observed him trafficking drugs in the City of Mississauga,” said police in a news release.
Officers executed search warrants on the home, a trailer, and a vehicle belonging to one of the suspects.
Police seized roughly $15,000 worth of fragrances, a 9mm handgun, three magazines, 24 rounds of ammunition, crack cocaine, and fentanyl.
Phillip Hector, 36, of Brampton was arrested and faces several drug trafficking and firearm-related charges.
Jeanette Magiera, 46, Arthur Monckton, 39, and Antonio Cardoso, 53, were also arrested and charged with break and enter, and possession of stolen property. Magiera also faces a charge of possession of fentanyl.
