Halton police seek man in Oakville sexual assault

Halton police are looking to identify a man responsible for a sexual assault in Oakville.
Police say the assault occurred on a narrow pedestrian walkway between Whilabout Terrace and Burloak Drive on Thursday, Oct. 7 at around 3:15 p.m.
The man tried to engage the victim in conversation as she was walking along the pedestrian walkway. He then pulled her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
Police say the man ran off when children approached the area. He was last seen running northbound on the pedestrian walkway toward Whilabout Terrace.
The man is described as:
- Male, white, 25 – 30 years old
- Short blond hair and blue eyes
- 6’ to 6’1” tall with a thin build
- Not clean shaven
- Wearing a navy blue t-shirt with a grey jogging pants and white Nike Airforce One running shoes.
