Halton police search Milton neighbourhood after home riddled with bullets

Halton police are appealing to residents in a Milton neighbourhood to check their security camera footage after a home was riddled with bullets Sunday night.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Prosser Circle and Frank Place around 11:25 p.m.

Police located a home that had been struck by several bullets.

Investigators say no one was inside at the time of the shooting and no injuries were reported.

Police say they searched the area but no suspects were found.

“It is believed that the shooting was targeted,” said Halton police in a news release. “Area residents can expect a continued police presence throughout the day today.”

Investigators say an older model four-door, dark-coloured sedan was possibly seen fleeing the area after the shooting.

Police are asking nearby residents to check their security and dashcam cameras for footage between the hours of 11:15 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. that could help with the investigation.
