Halton Police respond to daylight shooting in Burlington

Halton Regional Police are searching for two people following a daylight shooting in Burlington.

Police were called to a townhouse complex on Woodview Rd., near New St. and Walkers Line around 9 a.m. Wednesday.

A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say two people fled the scene on foot.

Officers don’t have suspect descriptions.

They believe the shooting was targeted.

Area residents were asked to shelter in place while police combed through the area.

That order has since been lifted.

Police are looking for dash cam or home surveillance video from the area from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
