Halton police investigate suspicious fire in Burlington

Halton police are investigating after a fire at a Burlington home was deemed suspicious.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Maple Ave. around 9 p.m. on Monday.

Fire crews found the second floor of the home fully engulfed in flames.

Police say the home was vacant at the time and firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to help with the investigation.

Halton police are asking residents or businesses in the area to check their security or dashcam footage for any suspicious behaviour.
