Halton police investigate shooting in Oakville

Halton police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of Ninth Line and Dundas Street in Oakville.

On May 30, at around 4:00 a.m., police received a 911 call reporting someone had been shot.

The caller said two people were parked in a vehicle on Ninth Line when they were approached by an unknown man. The man became aggressive leaving the area, then returned with a firearm and shot into the vehicle. Police say the passenger was struck and taken to hospital by the driver in non-life threatening condition.

The suspect fled the scene on foot.
