Halton police investigate armed home invasion in Oakville

Halton police are investigating an armed home invasion near North Service Road East in Oakville.

According to a spokesperson, the break-in took place around 8:20 p.m. Monday when three masked men entered a home after breaking through a screened window on the main floor.

Police say one of the intruders was wielding a machete.

The group was confronted by a resident of the home shortly after breaking in, which caused them to flee through the window.

Investigators have not made any arrests yet, and have confirmed nothing was stolen.
