Halton police charge 4 men in connection with multiple vehicle thefts

Halton police have arrested and charged four men after four catalytic converters were stolen from several vehicles.
On May 12, officers responded to a parking lot in the area of Ontario St. North and Woodward Ave. in Milton for reports of a group of suspects stealing from vehicles.
Police said the suspects were seen entering a vehicle and leaving the parking lot. Officers were able to find the vehicle and arrest the four suspects.
Investigators later received authorization to search the vehicle, which led to them recovering four catalytic converters, a floor jack and reciprocating saw.
A 25-year-old man from Toronto, 26-year-old man from Scarborough, 23-year-old man from Scarborough and 16-year-old man from Scarborough were all charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of break-in instruments, among other offences.
The adults were held for bail and the 16-year-old was released on an undertaking.
