Halton police successfully find Burlington senior safely

Halton police have found the previously missing 79-year-old woman who was missing since Wednesday morning in Burlington.

According to Halton police, 79-year-old Diane Kantowski went missing around 10 a.m. Wednesday, in the area of Plains Road East and Falcon Boulevard.

Detectives say Kantowski was last seen on foot before they received reports on her disappearance.

Officers say they were able to find the woman with the K9-unit around noon Thursday.

Police say Kantowski was treated at the hospital nearby but report that she is healthy.

Const. Ryan Anderson from Halton police told CHCH News that they received many reports during the search that helped “save her life.”

“It would have been a terrifying night for her, we’re really fortunate and glad this came to a successful resolution,” he said.
