Halton police arrest Markham man after human trafficking investigation

Halton police have arrested a man from Markham following a human trafficking investigation.
Officers say a victim was trafficked by a man over a period of time throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
On Thursday, 32-year-old Jamil Wong of Markham was arrested and charged with a slew of human trafficking related offences.
Police say Wong was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims in connection to Wong and are asking anyone with information or who may have been victimized by him to contact police at 905-825-4777 ext. 4983.
