Halton police arrest man in connection with multiple retail thefts

Halton police have arrested a man who allegedly stole from multiple retail stores throughout Halton, Peel and Toronto.
Police say the thefts occurred between January and June of this year. Some of the stolen items include designer clothing, perfumes and personal hygiene products.
The estimated value of the stolen clothing and perfume is approximately $150,000.
Investigators found the items in a storage facility and seized a Chevrolet Traverse that was allegedly used to commit the thefts.

Officers then arrested 36-year-old Vasile-Ilie Costache of Scarborough.
He is facing charges for five counts of theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and trafficking stolen property.
A second suspect has also been identified and is wanted by police.
