Halton police have arrested a 54-year-old man following an investigation into a historic sexual assault.

Sean James, of Milton, has been charged with one count of sexual assault.

The alleged incident took place more than a decade ago but was recently reported to police.

“In order to protect the identity of the victim, no further information on the incident and this investigation will be provided by police,” said Halton police in a news release.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and are urging anyone with information to contact the Child and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-825-4777, ext. 8970.
