Halton police arrest 2 teens after vehicle stolen in Mississauga

Halton police say two teenagers have been arrested after a vehicle was broken into and another was stolen.

Police were called to the area of Scott Blvd. and Derry Rd. in Milton shortly after midnight Friday.

A resident told police they saw two people checking the doors on parked vehicles.

The Halton police canine unit was called in to search the area and located two 16-year-olds inside a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Peel Region.

Police also discovered another vehicle in the area had been broken into.

Investigators say the teens are both Mississauga residents and are facing several charges.

They have been held for a bail hearing.
