Halton Catholic school board ranks as Ontario’s best

The Fraser Institute has released its annual rankings of Ontario elementary schools, putting the Halton Catholic District School Board at the top of the list as best overall.

The report allows parents to review the academic performance of their child’s school over the past five years and compare it to other schools in their community and across the province.

It’s based on data from the annual province-wide testing of reading, writing and math.

Among the top 20 fastest improving Ontario elementary schools is Edith Cavell in St. Catharines and Our Lady of the Assumption in Stoney Creek.
