Halton car theft arrest

Halton police have arrested two men for an alleged fake car theft scam.

Police say a man contacted them in January to report his missing Toyota, which officers later found at a Mississauga storage facility. Police allege the car had been hidden there before the call was made. Upon further investigation, police found that an Oakville auto shop was also in on the scam. 51-year old Pawan Sharma of Milton and 45-year old Mohamed Azeez of Oakville have been charged.
