Guns and drugs seized in Hamilton

The Hamilton Police Service Guns and Weapon Enforcement Unit (GWEU) have put a dent in illegal gun activity in Hamilton.

During the first week of March, Hamilton police conducted searches of three homes and seized restricted handguns, one sniper rifle, three stun guns, over $4-thousand dollars in cash.

Quanities of cocaine, ketamine and marijuana were also found.

One of the searches, at a home on James Street North, netted two illegal guns, ammunition, marijuana and ketamine.

Two men, aged 21 and 17 were arrested.

They both face numerous weapons and drug related charges.
