Guilty verdict in Bajikor murder case

The jury has reached a verdict in the first degree murder trial in the death of Hamilton man James Bajkor.

Shaquille Collins, 21, has been found guilty of first degree murder and attempted murder. His 30-year-old co-accused Christopher Newton has been found guilty of second degree murder and attempted murder.

Bajkor, 22, was an innocent victim gunned down two years ago while working in the backyard of his east Hamilton home. At the time, two men had been chasing a third man when one of them pulled a gun and started firing. That’s when Bajkor was hit.
