Guelph police arrest 2 people, seize 60 firearms found at Hamilton home

Guelph police charged a man and a woman last Wednesday as part of an investigation after finding 60 firearms in a Hamilton home.
Officers say as part of an investigation involving firearms and trafficked controlled substances, they executed a search warrant at a home in a rural area of Hamilton.
They say during the search they found a 52-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman from Hamilton inside the home with two loaded firearms nearby.
Police were able to arrest the two with no injuries reported.

Investigators say they found around 60 firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, an over-capacity magazine, a 3D printer with a 3D-printed modified magazine, and a bullet reloading press.
The man and the woman were charged with two counts of careless use of a firearm through unsafe storage, possessing a prohibited weapon or ammunition, and unsafe storage of a firearm.
Officers have not identified the man or the woman, but they did say that the two were held for a bail hearing.
It is unknown if the two have been released or if they will appear in a courthouse at a future date.
