Serious knee injury forces Canadian fighter to sidelines.
Canadian fighter Georges St. Pierre will be out of action for almost a year.
UFC president Dana White tweets that St. Pierre will not fight Nick Diaz on Super Bowl weekend in early February.
White says St. Pierre blew out his anterior cruciate ligament and will be out for 10 months.
He adds that Carlos Condit will now face Nick Diaz for the interim welterweight title on February 4th in Vegas.
The news come about six weeks after St. Pierre suffered a strained knee ligament while training in his hometown of Montreal.
The injury forced him out of a UFC 137 title fight with Condit.
