A petition to re-name Dundas Street in Toronto is gaining momentum.

The street, as well as the community of Dundas here in Hamilton, were named after Henry Dundas, an 18th-century politician who was against the abolition of slavery.

Advocates say we can’t stand for Black lives today when we continue to glorify slave masters of the past.
