Grimsby rink embraces the outdoors

A local family certainly isn’t letting the cold keep them from enjoying the outdoors this winter.

The Bunton family in Grimsby have been making an ice rink in their backyard for six years now. But this year, it’s the best it’s ever been. In fact, it’s so good, the family won a contest which saw four members of the Niagara Ice Dogs come out and play some shinny with them Monday evening.

Mike Bunton says he’s spent around 600 hours getting the rink to where it is and he and his wife couldn’t believe it when they found out the Ice Dogs were coming.
