Grimsby rallying around its hospital
A massive rally is taking place tonight in the town of Grimsby – and hundreds, possibly thousands – are expected to show up.
They’re protesting the Liberal government’s budget cuts that cancelled the $136 million dollar rebuild of West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. The hospital is used – not only by residents of Grimsby and West Lincoln – but those from elsewhere in Niagara, Hamilton and elsewhere.
The community has already raised $14 million to go toward rebuilding WLMH. And as Melissa Raftis tells us, the rally is giving them hope that a new hospital is still possible.
