Grimsby man charged with attempted murder

A Grimsby man is facing an attempted murder charge after an assault in Hamilton earlier this week.

Police say they were called to the area of Francis Street and Douglas Avenue at around 1 p.m. on Monday. A 23-year-old man had suffered a severe beating and was taken to hospital. Police believe it was a targeted attack.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Edward Milligan, 34, of Grimsby. If you see him, don’t approach him. Instead, call 9-1-1 or Crimestoppers.

Police are also asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call them.
