It’s the first of its kind in Hamilton and the largest in Canada, a building that uses less energy than it generates and leaves a net zero carbon footprint.

It’s been two and a half years in the making. The Joyce Centre for partnership and innovation showcases leading edge environmental technologies.

From solar panels, a green roof that will be covered with vegetation to high efficiency plumbing fixtures, and its designers say this building is creating a new sustainable future.

Hamilton is evolving and the Joyce Centre is not just a lab centre. It’s a teaching tool to help educate the next generation.

The record setting $54 million building is a cornerstone for innovation and is putting Hamilton on the map.

The building is already winning awards even before it opens to students next month.
