Great weather on Mother’s Day

The weather gods were certainly shining down on Mom on Sunday.

Families took advantage of the warmth and sunshine to celebrate mother’s day outdoors. This weekend’s weather has been some of the nicest seen so far this spring and everyone was out and about to soak up every minute of it. Temperatures sat around 20 degrees in most of Southern Ontario.

In Burlington, quite a crowd gathered at Spencer Smith Park to picnic and play. Families were out flying kites, taking a stroll on the waterfront.

Back in Hamilton, Locke Street saw plenty of action. People were out picking up last minute gifts for mom or a few snacks to fill their picnic basket.

Down at Bayfront Park, lots of families enjoyed a picnic by the water.

Sunday’s weather certainly made mother’s day even more enjoyable moms across Southern Ontario.
