Grandmother’s court date pushed back

The Milton grandmother charged in her young grandson’s death will be back in court next month.

Leslie MacDonald, 51, is scheduled for a September 9th court date. She was expected to be in court this morning but a representative appeared on her behalf.

She’s charged with criminal negligence causing death and failing to provide the necessities of life. Her grandson died after he was left in a hot car for hours on June 26th. It was 29 degrees outside.

Maximus Huyskens (above) died of heat exposure a month before his second birthday. investigators say he was being cared for by his grandmother while his father was at work and his mother was at an appointment.
