Graco recalls nearly 1400 car seats over restraint defects

Graco Children’s products is recalling 1,393 My Ride 65 convertible car seats after a defect was found in the harness restraints.

The company says the webbing on certain My Ride 65 car seats failed to meet the Canadian standards for breaking strength.

The affected seats have model numbers 1910553, 1910552, 1910395 and were manufactured from May 14, 2014 through July 30, 2014.

Graco says they will provide customers with free replacement kits with new harness restraints and installation instructions. They say consumers can continue to use the car seat while they wait for the replacement kits.
