Gore Park building demolition delayed

There’s a bit of a reprieve for a section of 19th century buildings in Hamilton’s Gore Park.

City Councillor Jason Farr says after meeting with the developer and city staff an agreement’s been reached that temporarily stops the demolition. It hasn’t been decided if just the facades will be saved, or if the entire strip between James and Hughson will be saved. Developer David Blanchard has plans for an office building and or condos in the space.
