Goodyear announces $20M for Ontario manufacturers & exporters

A boost for manufacturers in Southern Ontario.

At McMaster University’s advanced manufacturing summit, Gary Goodyear, federal minister of state for economic development, announced Canadian manufacturers and exporters will be awarded up to $20 million to help advance their technology and create jobs.

“CME anticipates being able to support 200 manufacturers through this program which will help create more than 1,000 new jobs in the region and maintain 2,500 other jobs. That is great news for manufacturing.”

Goodyear says these technologies will work towards solidifying Canada’s position as an internationally competitive player. The CME program will launch December 1st.
