Goodwill lockout

Goodwill is closing 16 retail stores, 10 donation centres and 2 offices in Southern Ontario because of a “cash flow crisis”.

The closures leave 450 workers in the greater Toronto area, Barrie, Orilla and Brockville in limbo. They’re part of the Canadian airport workers union and a lawyer for the group says the lockout violates their contract.

The lockout does not affect Goodwill, The Amity group which has 7 locations between the Hamilton and Halton area including 4 career centres.
