No Good Deed

No Good Deed is a crime horror directed by Sam Miller (Luther). The film tells the story of Terry, a former district attorney who now spends her time raising her two children. One night while her husband is out of town, a stranger comes to her door asking for help after his car ran off the road nearby. Charming and handsome as he is, Terry has him wait outside while she gets him the phone, but the man isn’t interested in waiting and forces his way in. This unassuming stranger is actually a homicidal madman. Now Terry must protect her kids and herself from this vicious sociopath. The film stars Taraji P. Henson and Idris Elba.

No Good Deed is, as director Miller describes, “a classic, claustrophobic, sexy thriller in the neo-noir tradition. At the center of it is a sympathetic woman who tries to be a Good Samaritan,” he continues. “Once she is trapped by him, she learns that he is capable of shocking brutality. As the evening progresses, his plans become clearer—and much more frightening. Colin reveals himself slowly, so the audience has to put the pieces of the puzzle together.”
