Goal outburst helps Dogs over Storm

In the Ontario Hockey League, the Hamilton Bulldogs trying to storm their way to a win in Guelph. The Storm are the worst team in the OHL, just 2 wins in 25 games. Make that 2 in 26.

But the home team does open the scoring in the first period. James McEwan beats Charlie Graham and with that goal, the ice surface gets flooded with plush toys. The annual teddy bear toss in Guelph.

From there, came a flood of goals for the Bulldogs. Defenseman Connor Walters with his second of the season on a power play, beating Justin Nichols, 1-1 after one.

And then in the second, three more power play goals. Matt Luff with his 5th, and Michael Cramarossa fires in his 7th. Stephen Harper scores his team leading 15th, and just to be different, defenseman Ben Gleason scores one at even strength.

Gleason and Harper both scored twice in a 7-4 win. Highest scoring game of the season for the Bulldogs. Harper had a 5 point game, Cramarossa 4, Gleason 3.

The Bulldogs host the Kingston Frontenacs Sunday afternoon.
