GO train delays expected due to arson investigation in Hamilton

GO Transit says riders travelling on the Lakeshore West line should expect some delays due to an arson investigation near the tracks in Hamilton.
Metrolinx spokesperson Matt Llewellyn says GO Transit staff is investigating an arson just east of West Harbour station on James St. North at one of the rail signal bungalows.
Llewellyn says they have been able to isolate the Lakeshore West delays and trip modifications to the morning rush hour.
He says a few trips from West Harbour to Niagara will need to be modified. Shuttle buses will be taking people to Aldershot to catch a train but Llewellyn says that should be wrapped up around 8 a.m.
Metrolinx says Friday evening’s Niagara Falls service will still experience some delays as a result of the fire investigation and damage to the signal bungalow.
