Girl, 11, struck by minivan while riding her bike in Burlington

An 11-year-old girl remains in hospital after she was struck by a minivan while riding her bicycle Saturday evening.

Halton police say the young girl was hit around 6:30 p.m. while travelling eastbound on Dundas St., just east of Sutton Dr. in Burlington.

She was taken to McMaster Children’s Hopsital in Hamilton with serious injuries but police say she is no longer in critical condition.

Halton police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
