A giant zucchini

A Niagara Falls man has grown a giant zucchini — and it may just be big enough to set a world record.
Giovanni Scozzafava has always had a green thumb — and take a look at what he’s grown in his backyard garden. It’s an eight foot, four inch long giant zucchini.
Scozzafava measured it at 100 inches long. He planted the seeds in May and watched it grow, and grow, all summer.
The Scozzafava family contacted the Guinness World Book of Records. It’s so long, it looks like this zucchini will now be the record holder.
Giovanni Scozzafava: “I never seen eight foot long before. I ain’t got no secret. All friends of mine ask what kind of zucchini I made this year.”
Scozzafava’s wife Grazia has been thinking about all the food she can make. Because this week they plan to eat it.
