The first woman to testify against Jian Ghomeshi has had the publication ban protecting her identity lifted.

Linda Christina Redgrave spoke to The Toronto Star. She’s the accuser who couldn’t remember sending Ghomeshi a picture of her in a red bikini.

In the ruling, Justice William Horkins described her as a witness willing to withhold relevant information from the police, Crown and the court. She told The Star she thinks the judge was condescending, and that the not-guilty verdict could have been delivered more respectfully.

Redgrave is now committed to changing the legal system for sexual assault victims, so she wants women to know who she is. Her website comingforward.ca is asking victims for their stories, and also offers a list of resources for women, to help support them through the legal system.
