Ghomeshi apologizes in court

Earlier today Jian Ghomeshi signed a peace bond and issued a formal apology to Kathryn Borel, a former producer on his hit show Q. The bond means his final sexual assault charge will be dropped.
“I was a person in a position of authority and leadership and I did not show the respect that I should have to Ms. Borel. I regret my behaviour at work with all of my heart and I hope that I can find forgiveness from those for whom my actions took such a toll.”
Ghomeshi also signed a peace bond which demands that he stays away from Borel and maintains good behaviour. Legally, the peace bond is not an admission of his guilt. Ghomeshi’s apology never went into detail over his actions, but Borel’s statement did.
“He came up behind me when I was standing near my desk and put his hands on my hips and rammed his pelvis against my backside over and over simulating sexual intercourse.”
Borel is the third of four women to see Ghomeshi in court, but she was the only one to get an apology. Back in March Jian Ghomeshi was acquitted on all his sexual assault charges after the judge at the time ruled that all three complainants were either lying or hiding evidence to the courts.
