Beach day delayed a week

(Updated) Usually, the first Friday in June sees thousands of high school students in Niagara and Norfolk County skip classes to head to the lake for beach day.

While the photo above shows what Augustine beach in Wainfleet looked like last year, today’s weather means beach day has been postponed and will now take place next Friday. However police say they will still be on the look-out today for any students who might show up with plans to party on the beach.
