In some AHL news, former Hamilton Bulldogs forward Blake Geoffrion, who retired Monday as a player, has been hired as a scout by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Geoffrion retired because of the lingering effects of a skull fracture and concussion suffered in an American Hockey League game in November.

And the Bulldogs have added former NHL’er Stephane Lebeau to their coaching staff. He’ll be an assistant on Sylvain Lefebvre’s staff.   Most recently, he was the head hockey coach at Bishops College school in Lennoxville, Quebec.
