Gas prices at record highs

Drivers are feeling more pain at the pump today than ever before.

The price of gas climbed to a record-high across Ontario today. The price at most stations in Hamilton and the GTA is around $1.43-per litre. Energy analysts say the prices across Canada aren’t expected to dip until summer weather and clashes in Iraq cool off.

Drivers could see these prices stick around until at least September. At this time last year, the price at the pump was around $1.28 per litre in Hamilton, Burlington and the Niagara Region.
