It’s taken 4 years, but Hamilton city council has finally reached an agreement with the owners a series of derelict buildings across from Gore park. It means the “gap in the Gore” will finally be filled.

In 2013 Hamilton city council made a last second move that saved the buildings from being demolished and today they voted to allow development as long as the developer promises to save as much of the historic look of these buildings as possible.

The plan of developer Wilson Blanchard is to build residential units up top and retail space at street level.
