Funeral services were held this morning for the 18-year old who was shot to death last weekend by Toronto police.

Sammy Yatim was alone on a streetcar, wielding a knife when he was fatally shot early Saturday morning. The shooting has captured worldwide attention after surveillance and cellphone video of it was posted online.

Outside the church this morning, a family spokesman says he is stunned that police would take such extreme measures considering the weapon involved was a pocket knife.
